At the Annual Vestry Meeting held in School Room, Ladyday 1861
Resolved -
That the several disbursmentsof the Penny Rate be allowed & that a rate of ½ in the Pound be collected with the next Parish? Rate
That the Waywardens accounts be allowed
That the several items in the Church Rate seen? & allowed & a rate at 1d in the Pound -eated ----? ---?
That the Guardians be Mr Langdon & Mr R Varcoe with their expenses allowed
That the Churchwardens be Mr Charles Bice & Mr M Richards
That the Overseers be Messers H Hawkey, R Reskilley, Richd. Williams, Richd. Harding, Jas. Reskilley & John Courtis
That Messers Silas Tanblyn & Thomas Liddecoat be Waywardens
That the Assessor be Mr S Salmon
That Mr Elvins has agreed to pay me the Rates Clay Works on £60 a year for ?------ years
It having been discovered that the rating of the Parish is very unequal – Resolved that a Committee consisting of the following be appointed to equalise the same & that it consist of the Churchwardens, Overseers & Messers L Bice, W?Langdon, Silas Tamblyn, R Varcoe, John Johns, G Bassett & R Clemow & that the said Committee hold their first meeting in the School room on Monday the 1st of April at 4 O clock in the afternoon
